Description

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to be part of our Melbourne Legal Team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their legal career or looking to settle in to a firm with a supportive team.

Your new role

  • Work on standard residential purchases and sales from start to settlement and post settlement matters as well;
  • Act for vendors in distressed property sales;
  • Act for purchaser and vendors in off the plan matters;
  • Drafting commercial documents including mortgage documents, lease documents;
  • Drafting correspondence and various LPI documents;
  • Arranging and attending settlement;
  • Drafting standard court documents;
  • Occasional Adverse possession claims, dealing with SRO and Land Tax.

The role includes varied work in property and general commercial work with an opportunity to expand this practice and/or gain experience in other areas that the firm practices within.

Your skills and experience

  • At least 1 year experience in residential conveyancing or property law;
  • Some experience in other commercial areas;
  • Be reliable and have high attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Self motivated with strong work ethic.
