About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our fast paced, in-house Maintenance Team. The team is made up mechanics, welders & fabricators, and technicians to keep our operation going. Based at our Epping site, you will work across a range of vehicles and machinery out in the field and in the onsite workshop.
The role is a permanent, full-time position working during the day with overtime opportunity available.
You will be responsible for:
• Performing repairs on all heavy road vehicles and machinery through routine and breakdown inspections. This will take place both in the workshop and out in the field depending on the situation.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment ensuring safety standards are met as well as vehicles are road worthy.
• Perform routine maintenance requirements while following all safety procedures.
• Updating documentation to ensure documentation of repairs, purchasing of materials.
About You
You have come from a similar working environment with a passion for machinery, fixing things and strong technical knowledge. You a few years’ experience in the trade, and you enjoy field work, as well as the comforts of a workshop.
You can demonstrate the importance of safety and compliance. We operate in a high-risk setting, and the wellbeing of our people and protection of our assets is the most important thing. We are looking for a mechanic who will uphold these standards and live and breathe in our safety culture.
The following requirements are a must for this role:
• 3 years + experience in a similar role. You are able to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot engine issues.
• A diesel mechanic qualification
• A valid driver’s license
• Willingness to participate in our pre-employment background process including completing a national police check, medical etc.
• Flexibility to work overtime and/or outside regular hours when required
