Your duties

  • Design, craft, and maintain software that is simple to use to allow users to extend and customize the functionality to meet the specific needs
  • Write code and unit tests, build prototypes, analyse bottlenecks and solve issues
  • Lead and assist with planning the development of technical solutions from concept to launch
  • Identify mission critical tasks and projects and optimise software development life cycle to ensure that maintenance, testing, and delivering updates do not inhibit the long-term product roadmap
  • Interact with a wide variety of stakeholders from both inside and outside the team to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Create comprehensive documentation to facilitate seamless deployment and ongoing support of software solutions
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and incorporate new standards and technology into the product where appropriate

Desirable skills & experience

  • Tertiary qualification & 5 years’ hands-on software engineering experience in recent years
  • Broad knowledge of core Computer Science concepts
  • Strong expertise in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
  • Ability to work within a team and independently in the design and development of software
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build consensus and communicate priority and purpose
