The role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing landscaping and civil tasks with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will play an integral role in delivering high-standard projects while contributing to the training and development of other team members.

Your impact

Your expertise and leadership will ensure the smooth operation of daily site activities, the professional development of the team, and the successful delivery of projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

Your every day

  • Undertake all landscaping and civil tasks as directed by the Site Manager or Project Manager
  • Operate plant and equipment as required and in accordance with instructions from site management.
  • Lead a team of operators, and labourers to complete delegated work efficiently.
  • Support site management in coordinating subcontractors, minor materials, and equipment.
  • Set out and construct according to contract documents, including specifications and drawings.
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of equipment as directed.
  • Ensure individual work processes comply with site management plans and safety standards.
  • Provide advice and assistance to supervisors to enable safe and efficient operations.
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and document risk control measures for associated tasks.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and injuries to the Supervisor.
  • Actively participate in the training and development of other staff on-site.

Who are you?

  • We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual with the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Certificate in Landscape Trade or a similar field, with experience in a commercial landscaping environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Verification of Competency (VOC) in operating relevant plant and equipment (Desirable).
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate work effectively.
  • Sound understanding of safety practices and the ability to implement them on-site.
  • A proactive, team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
