The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Workplace Relations to lead one of the country’s most significant and respected employment policy portfolios.
This is a unique opportunity to be a proactive and authoritative voice for employers at the highest levels of government. You will lead national conversations on workplace policy, champion reforms that foster job creation and retention, and support a diverse and evolving agricultural workforce.
About The Role
This role sits at the forefront of Australian workplace policy, offering unmatched influence, visibility, and impact. In this role you will:
- Drive NFF’s workplace relations agenda, including responses to Fair Work Commission activity, parliamentary inquiries, and departmental consultations.
- Work with members and stakeholders to identify labour shortages across the sector and develop proactive strategies that leverage the skills development and immigration systems.
- Lead a skilled team of two policy professionals to develop compelling, evidence-based submissions and advocacy strategies.
- Represent the interests of agricultural employers in negotiations and consultations with peak business bodies, unions, and government stakeholders.
- Driving member-driven policy solutions through member committees and task groups.
Who We’re Looking For
This is a role of an accomplished workplace relations processional and policy advocate that will bring to the role:
- Deep expertise in employment law, industrial relations frameworks, and contemporary employment practices.
- A demonstrated ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships across Parliament, industry organisations, unions, and membership bodies.
- Proven leadership in developing strategic policy and advocacy in complex regulatory environments.
- A passion for member-driven advocacy and the ability to translate industry needs into national reform priorities.
