The Opportunity

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Sydney Insurance Litigation team on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Day to day file management;
  • Drafting and amending various court documents;
  • Reviewing and compiling evidence for filing (including administrative duties such as indexing and paginating);
  • Compiling briefs to counsel and medical experts;
  • Liaising with clients and service providers;
  • Conducting legal research as required;
  • Drafting case-notes as required;
  • End of month billing; and
  • General administrative duties of the team, such as diary and file management e.g. filing, bring ups, opening and archiving files.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A high level of motivation and enthusiasm;
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent time-management skills;
  • A high level of focus and attention to detail;
  • A team player’s attitude; and
  • Strong organisation skills, together with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously;
  • 12 months in a paralegal or similar role would be advantageous;
