About the role

The purpose of the Trades Assistant role is to assist the workshop and tradespeople in their roles and to complete general duties as required. This role will be based at the Port of Brisbane workshop, working a 9-day fortnight, enabling a great work-life balance.

  • Assist workshop and tradespeople with day-to-day equipment service work.
  • Operate small tools and equipment as needed, ensuring safe and proper storage.
  • Perform basic fabrication activities, as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area and equipment.
  • Undertake general duties, participate in training, and ensure compliance with WHSE policies.

About You

  • Experience in assisting skilled or tradespeople.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Current Forklift Licence. Advantageous
  • Confined space certificate. Beneficial
  • Working at heights certificate. Preferred
