About you
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your technical expertise (light commercial vehicle technical specifications) in the automotive industry to assess sales and service enquiries and identify the appropriate actions.
Furthermore, you will appreciate the need for accuracy, with analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a leader and will not have any issues working to tight timelines. Lastly, you are a decision maker with a keen business acumen, and you understand the importance of Customer Service and manufacturing needs.
About the Role
Please see below a succinct summary of the role accountabilities:
- Ensure the technical sale process is followed, which includes, collaborating with the sales team on new projects, developing specifications that are fit for purpose, liaising with cross functional teams and project managing first of type builds through to production.
- Have empathy for the customer but protect the business and its interests first and foremost.
- Provide professional and customer focussed service to both internal and external customers in all interactions.
- Take ownership of enquiries (internally and externally) and follow through until a resolution is reached.
- Ensure that all proposals or advice delivered are 100% source of truth and not based on assumption or opinion.
- Ensure all proposals maintain the profit margins required for the sustainable operation of the business.
- Become an authority on all things Hidrive, this will include staying up to date with developments within the LCV and Light Truck markets.
- Use, maintenance and development of the systems and procedures used by the team to contribute to the continual improvement of the team’s performance.
- Work with the customer care team to assist with technical service enquiries and/or warranty claims, this may involve direct contact with the customer to diagnose the issue and work on a resolution.
- Communicate requirements and gather quotations for repairs performed by 3rd party repairers on Hidrive’s behalf.
- Frontline service and technical assistance for our customers across numerous locations.
- Preparation of quotations and specifications for the sales team as required, particularly where technical expertise is required for specific applications.
- Provide technical assistance to the sales team, this may require attending sales calls with the sales team to gain an understanding of the clients’ needs and wants, so that a fit for purpose solution can be offered accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to coordinate the design of custom solutions to ensure that the customers desires and intent is captured in the design.
