About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Business and Data Analyst to architect robust data solutions and guide business intelligence delivery. You’ll collaborate directly with clients, mentor analysts, and lead full-lifecycle BI projects—from raw data to strategic insights.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Designing and developing scalable, intuitive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
- Writing and optimising complex SQL queries and building reliable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Architecting end-to-end BI solutions with a focus on performance, governance, and usability.
- Acting as the go-between for business users and technical teams to ensure alignment.
- Supporting the integration of new technologies that enhance our BI and reporting capabilities.
- Documenting and maintaining our reporting catalogue, data definitions, and processes.
- Prioritising and managing reporting and analytics requests in line with business timelines.
- Serving as the main contact for reporting queries, defect resolution, and enhancement requests.
- Leading and mentoring BI analysts and engineers across a variety of data projects.
- Supporting IT security and GITC reviews (Entra ID experience is a bonus!).
A Day in the Life
You’ll toggle between high-level architecture and hands-on dashboard builds, guiding junior analysts while solving real client problems. Whether it’s transforming healthcare data into insights or spearheading BI process improvements, your day will balance autonomy, collaboration, and impact.
About You
- 4+ years of BI/Data Engineering experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Databricks SQL
- Proven track record in client-facing consulting or senior analytics roles.
- Deep expertise in Tableau, Power BI, and SQL (non-negotiable).
- Certifications in BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are highly desirable.
- Able to lead small technical teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed problem solving.
- Healthcare sector experience is a bonus.
- Must be based in Australia and able to travel to client sites when needed.
