Section Waiter

Summary:

The Wait Staff is responsible for providing customers with a friendly, professional, and efficient dining experience. They greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, handle complaints, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables
• Take orders for food and drinks and relay them to the kitchen or bar
• Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
• Serve food and drinks to guests
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process orders and payments
• Clean tables and reset them for guests
• Handle complaints and resolve issues related to food, service, or ambiance
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items and specials

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and tip calculations
