About the Role
This role is responsible for executing the strategic vision of the Head of eCommerce while ensuring smooth day to day operations. This role focuses on platform integrations, checkout optimisation, onsite search, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and website performance to enhance overall customer experience and site efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Optimisation & Technical Implementation
- Execute and manage technical projects across multiple Shopify sites, ensuring seamless functionality and a high-quality user experience.
- Implement new site features, troubleshoot issues, and oversee integrations with third-party tools and services.
- Collaborate with development agencies and third-party partners to improve site speed, ensure platform reliability, and maintain optimal performance.
- Resolve errors in Celigo Integrator and ensure the smooth operation of automated workflows.
- Optimise onsite search results to improve discoverability and enhance user experience.
Conversion Rate Optimisation CRO & SEO
- Lead CRO initiatives to improve user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Work closely with the SEO agency to execute on-page and technical SEO recommendations.
- Set up and run A/B testing and CRO initiatives, analysing outcomes and providing actionable insights to improve engagement.
- Optimise checkout processes to reduce cart abandonment and improve the overall shopping experience.
Website Performance & Data-Driven Insights
- Monitor and enhance website performance, focusing on load times, responsiveness, and error-free functionality.
- Identify and implement improvements to the checkout funnel and user journey to boost conversions.
- Analyse website performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with the eCommerce Campaign Manager to align technical efforts with campaign strategies and business goals.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure consistent functionality and user experience.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience in eCommerce operations, CRO, or platform management.
- Strong technical knowledge of eCommerce platforms (Shopify expertise preferred) and integrations.
- Experience with conversion rate optimisation, onsite search, and merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, site speed optimization, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar, A/B testing tools) to drive insights.
- Ability to troubleshoot platform issues and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
