About the role

The Manager, People and Learning is responsible for overseeing Djirra’s HR and Workforce Development functions. This role involves providing strategic advice to the Executive team on key initiatives and workforce strategies, while also managing the daily operations of the People and Learning team. The team’s focus is on optimising performance and driving operational excellence, ensuring alignment with Djirra’s vision and strategic goal.

About You

As a seasoned Manager with extensive experience in the community sector, you’ll be well-prepared to lead a small team of subject matter experts. Your proven ability to manage daily operations within the team and implement strategic initiatives aligned with Djirra’s goals will ensure that staff and systems are positioned to drive both performance and operational excellence as we continue to grow.

With a deep commitment to self-determination, you will prioritise empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, enhancing their well-being, and supporting a brighter future. Your leadership will focus on advocating for systemic change and creating a culturally safe environment for both employees and the communities we serve. Experience working with an Aboriginal Controlled Community Organisation (ACCO) is highly valued.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business, Management or related field.
  • Experience and proven credentials in a similar capability leadership role in a complex and high performing workplace environment
