Salary: £31,890 to £40,394 Per Annum (Negotiable dependent on experience)

Location: North Hampshire

Hours per week: 37.5​

About us…

We are a values led social care provider that provides Neurodisability services to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities and/or Behaviours that may challenge. We support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst. We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 42 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Somerset, with a workforce of circa 300 employees.

The role​

At PBS4 we are proud that our Enablement Managers hold significant accountability and opportunity for their support living provisions. As an Enablement Manager you will have a wide range of responsibilities across several different supported living settings. You will not only be helping the people we support live a fulfilled life, but you will also act as a role model and supervisor for your team. Coaching and mentoring them to ensure that the person you support is provided with excellent, person centred care, which is safe and in -line with our policies and procedures.

Responsibilities will include people management, compliance, legislation and finance. You will ensure the provision of high quality, individualised, support. You will develop good working practices. A key element of this role is adopting a proactive approach to ensure relationships are built with key parties, such as, local authorities, stakeholders, friends and family of the person you support, as well as within your team.

About you

This is a demanding role for someone who is ready to step up and take their leadership and management skills to the next level. You need to have a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.

You will need significant experience of working with adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities with experience in Forensic or Mental Health being desirable but not essential. Experience of supervising and managing a team is essential. You will thrive working under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.

You will need to demonstrate you understand your legal responsibilities, meet all the fundamental standards and know what to do to ensure a service is not only compliant, but exceptional.

Position Competences/requirements:

  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, self-drive and the want to seek development opportunities!
  • Enablement Managers will need to have their Level 5 in Leadership and Management within Social Care or be working towards this.
  • Must be a driver with their own use of vehicle.
  • Be able to participate in sleep-in arrangements where service needs dictate.
  • Significant experience of working with individuals who have Autism.
  • Have basic IT competency, the ability to use Microsoft Office, complete e-learning modules and fill out forms.
  • To have experience in supporting/ working with people with learning disabilities and/or Autism or behaviours that may challenge.
  • To have experience in Managing/ Leading a Team within social care or similar.
  • Able to work flexibly and be able to participate in the on-call system.
