Senior Mechanical Engineer

Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their facilities team. This is a 24 month secondment role and the successful candidate will be located in our clients Darwin site office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Sound knowledge of static mechanical equipment in an operational O&G facility and/or Operational Power Station.
• Technical support to plant breakdowns and planned shutdowns
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
• Experience with mechanical testing and analysis techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
