About the Role

Based in BYD’s Sydney office, this role will work closely with the Aftersales Engineering Manager and our product team from HQ. You will be providing technical support to BYD electric buses, including the assistance in the delivery of Zero Emission Bus and Depot Electrification projects.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Working in close liaison with BYD HQ, business partners and customers
• Handling on-site mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair (interstate travel will be required when necessary)
• Providing technical training to customers
• Processing orders for parts and accessories
• Conducting market research and assisting with product development

You will be someone who:

• Has a tertiary education background in mechanical engineering
• Has automotive/mechanical experience;
• Has solid problem solving skills;
• Is well organised and has good attention to details;
• Has a positive, can-do attitude;
• Is driven and enjoys working autonomously;
• Enjoys working within a close-knit team;
• Passionate about working
