Job Summary
As a Food & Beverage Team Leader you’ll get to lead and motivate our F&B team ensuring that our venues run smoothly. Team Leaders lead by example and motivate their team to always be their best. As part of our F&B Team you’ll work with those that excel at making sure our guests are fuelled up for a day of adventure and a night of fun! With a range of outlets throughout the winter, from a pub style venue to a cocktail bar, from fine dining restaurants to café counter service, this team are super busy with a huge variety of different types of restaurants and bars! There are shifts for early risers and work for night owls as well. No matter what your preference either front of house or back of house, a Season in Charlotte Pass will be one you will never forget, you will be in the mix making our guests mountain experiences memorable for all the right reasons!
Essential Functions
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
- Ensures all employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed (grooming standards in employee handbook).
- Ensures employees are working in a safe environment.
- Assists in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
- Ensures all employees are adhering to proper cash handling procedures and monitors overage/shortages.
- Manages employee hours.
- Works with the leadership team of the property to identify and implement action plans to prevent the reoccurrence of guest issues.
- Monitors employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.
- Promotes teamwork and employee morale.
- Keeps team members informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.
- Ensures all employees have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Assists General Manager – Hospitality as requested
NOTE: All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

With extensive customer contact, must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Charlotte Pass’ commitment to providing superior customer service.
Qualifications
- High School Certificate
- Previous experience in a similar role with strong leadership skills
Required Knowledge and Skill
- Good leadership, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate and delegate to others.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Enthusiasm to keep standards high
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for hospitality and experiences
- Patient
- Able to work in a team.
- Knowledge of food safety issues
- Ability to operate POS system
- Valid proof of NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) prior to employment, or willingness and ability to attend NSW RSA
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages.
- Culinary or food service management degree may be advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
- Strong working knowledge of related computer software, including restaurant management software.
- Ability to adhere to budgets and meet financial targets.
Physical and Mental Demands
Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, and lifting up to 25kgs. Stress can result from the often fast pace and the demands of guests.
Work Environment
The position involves exposure to open flames and hot items (from fireplace and hot plates of food), as well as sharp cutting utensils. Most work is performed indoors, but some occasional outdoor work, such as snow shoveling, may be required. Outdoor work is performed in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind and rain, on varied snow surfaces.
