About the Role

An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Employment Consultant to support our growing team. As an Employment Consultant, you will be partnering with our team of consultants to deliver long-lasting and positive outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower jobseekers by helping them develop career suitable & realistic strategies
  • Career counselling to empower job readiness
  • Create professional resumes & cover letters
  • Assist with interview skills training
  • Reporting to stakeholders
  • Reaching out to local businesses & prospective employers to facilitate work placements
  • Build a network of host employers
  • Facilitate access to vocational training
  • Work independently to manage caseload of jobseekers

About You

You’re passionate about creating an impact and delivering solutions for our clients. Your proven ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, and you also have;

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in same or similar role
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience working in positions with a strong customer focus
  • Ability to source suitable employment opportunities for work ready participants
  • An ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employers and community organisations
  • An understanding of employer needs and labour markets
  • Strong passion for helping people
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to address presenting return to work barriers among our clients
  • Hold a full driver’s licence and access to own car
  • You enjoy working hard but equally enjoy having a good laugh
