The opportunity

We are currently seeking an Office Manager to coordinate the effective running of the aXcelerate office, including building & facilities, event planning and administrative support. Additionally, this role will involve some basic IT support for new starters and existing staff.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for visitors, contractors and clients who attend the building.
  • Coordination of general building maintenance and repairs and liaising with staff and contractors to ensure the facilities are kept in good condition.
  • Regular stocktake and ordering of office supplies and weekly grocery order.
  • Internal event planning, including organising catering, room hire and guest lists.
  • Planning and assisting with external functions.
  • General office admin, including keeping systems up to date, calendar management and other admin as required.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing basic IT issues for new starters and staff.
  • Assisting with the setup and deployment of new devices, including computers, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Monitoring and maintaining IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses, and assisting with procurement as needed.
  • Assistance with miscellaneous projects as required.

About you

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager/Administrator or Facilities Coordinator role
  • Project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience with general office administration, planning and coordination of events and customer service
  • Systems savvy – ability to learn and use different systems and software
  • Possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and come up with solutions to problems
  • Excellent communication skills, in particular written communication
  • Any experience with IT or Technical support will be highly regarded
