We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Advisor to join our team! This role can be worked in a hybrid setting from the head office based in Cohuna VIC.

The position:
To be considered for this position you will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Legal Studies or a related field, additionally have demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in Contract Advisory Role.
As a project-based business, this role involves negotiating and advising on multiple contracts simultaneously at a fast pace, with high attention to detail. The approximate range of contract values will be between $50k and $10 million.
Some travel may be required for the role to visit sites and meetings. It would be highly advantageous is you are familiar with manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Negotiation: Review, revise and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with project requirements, budget constraints, and company policies.
Contract Administration: Maintain a centralised contract management system to track statuses and deliverables, monitor compliance, and facilitate modifications as needed.
Risk Management and Compliance: Assess and mitigate contract risks through analysis and proactive measures, ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, and implement effective risk management strategies.
Stakeholder Communication and Advice: Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries, providing clear and proactive communication to internal and external stakeholders. Advise project teams, management, and other departments on contractual obligations, compliance issues, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring informed decision-making throughout the contract lifecycle.
Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor contract performance metrics, prepare reports on status and financial implications, and conduct audits to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for contract management, identify process enhancements, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a related field. A master’s degree or certification in Contract Management is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management within the manufacturing industry or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex contractual documents.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable travelling and working from the head office in Cohuna 2-3 days per week/ fortnight.
