About the role

The role is part of our Dispute Resolution Services Team and is key to the growth and ongoing success of Anvelo. This role requires a deep understanding and practical application of the technical aspects of remedial building works for a specific project. You will be tasked with managing the project’s quality and contractual aspects, as well as liaising with all parties involved, including the client, contractors, suppliers, and other consultants. Success for this role requires ensuring that the project complies with all relevant regulations and codes and that the contractor adheres to the agreed-upon scope of work and timeframe.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee projects that involve remedial, and rectification works.
  • Apply technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and project management skills, enabling the identification of the root cause of the problem.
  • Make recommendations for the most effective and cost-efficient repair method.
  • Ensure the project complies with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Coordination of and liaison with the various parties involved.
  • Delivery of defined project outcomes.
  • Adherence to protocol and operational procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and apply technical knowledge to assess the severity of damage and recommend the most effective and cost-efficient repair method.
  • Identify the root cause of any issues and recommend the most appropriate remedial action.

Experience and skills needed:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, building or related field.
  • Bachelor of Building Surveying is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience (+15 years) in construction or infrastructure.
  • Registered Building Inspector on the RICS Panel under the Strata Building Bond and Inspection Scheme (SBBIS).
  • Official accreditation from either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS). Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of compliance codes and regulations to ensure remedial works projects comply with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning and orchestrating complex projects involving remedial and rectification works. Confident in making recommendations for the most appropriate remedial action.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying potential issues and providing practical solutions to help prevent future problems from arising.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence desired outcomes.
