The Alwyndor Management Committee (AMC) is the governance body for Alwyndor.

About the organisation

Located in historic grounds in Hove, Alwyndor delivers on-site residential living and support at home services, along with therapy and wellbeing services that empower older people in Adelaide’s southern metro communities to live healthy, engaged and fulfilled lives.

The Elected Members of the City of Holdfast Bay are the Trustees of the Dorothy Cheater Trust which established Alwyndor.

About the opportunity

The AMC has an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our ageing communities and provides integrated aged care services to the communities of Holdfast Bay and the broader southern metropolitan communities, our services include:

• Residential Care

• Support at Home

• Therapy and Wellness

• Day Respite.

Alwyndor’ s purpose is to support our ageing communities to live active and healthy lives, enabling a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive environment where older people are supported to maintain a fulfilling lifestyle.

Advising the City of Holdfast Bay, Alwyndor Management Committee is established to provide governance and oversight of the strategy and operations of Alwyndor.

Alwyndor is seeking expressions of interest from people with relevant skills and experience to join the Management Committee. Aged Care skills and experience are desirable.

Applicants should be graduates of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Appointments to the AMC are for an initial 3-year term and members receive an honorarium payment per session. Committee meetings are held a minimum of 8 times each year with out of session requirements from time to time. National police clearances are mandatory, and members are encouraged to be vaccinated for both influenza and COVID-19.
