An Employment Skills Training Facilitator’s Day involves:
- Facilitating group training sessions to jobseekers, face to face and online if required
- Working with the job seekers referred from digital services and other employment service providers to our Employability skills training program by conducting initial intake of participants into the program
- Delivering engaging group-based training which results in increased employability skills, resilience, and motivation for our participants to seek, find and keep a job
- Promoting Jobfind Brand and EST Courses, with a view to gain referrals
- Providing completion report to the jobseekers participating in the program after the course completion date
- Understanding the needs of local employers and labour markets
- Ensuring high engagement of job seekers to complete the EST Training blocks
- Monitoring the participation of job seekers in the Dept IT system
- Working closely with job seekers and build their resume and cover letter tailored to local labour market
- Identifying job seekers area of interest in specific or general industries and assisting them to experience work trials with a genuine prospect of employment
- Connecting the job seekers through apprenticeship and traineeship
- Identifying issues and working with the host organisation or job seekers to resolve them. This includes incident management and reporting
- Undertaking risk assessment for the job seeker and the host organisation for industry awareness experiences
- Communicating with other providers if required to provide any feedback about their jobseekers
Please note that this is a Fixed Term position for 6 months.
Key Selection Criteria
• Experience in Employment Services is highly regarded
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential
• Efficient administration skills and able to demonstrate effective time management skills
• Highly organised and able to self-manage day to day tasks appropriately
• Capable of handling difficult situations and manage conflict
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of diverse people

To be considered you must…
• Have full working rights in Australia
• Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
• Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
• Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
• Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
