Position Overview:

In the fast-paced world of Australian agriculture where we are at the whim of the weather, Hutcheon & Pearce understands the need for bringing John Deere machinery servicing to the customer and is proud to deliver the Hutcheon & Pearce Service Truck Fleet. Our fleet is not just about service; it’s about smart, data-driven, automated care for our customers machinery. We are constantly trying to improve the service we provide to our customers. This has led us to implement a new team of Service Technicians deployed throughout 8 branches in NSW with specialised trucks to assist with servicing throughout NSW. This Role requires you to travel to customers farm locations within your Area of responsibility (AOR), performing services on a wide range of John Deere machinery.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform servicing and associated inspections on agricultural equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments and in-field service, repair or maintenance work.
  • Perform quality work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge, and any other nominated specific learning areas.
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Maintain high level condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Account for all time in Enable and for all material used in performing assigned duties.

Additional preferred skills and experience:

  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • A Valid MR license (We can assist with this)
