Now, we’re looking for a Truck Fitter to join the crew at Mt Ida.
If you’re hands-on, adaptable, and ready to take on a mix of field breakdowns, workshop repairs, and servicing—this could be your next role. You’ll work across a range of equipment including 3T trucks, drill rig support vehicles, and various mobile plant.
This is a full-time, permanent role on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie, with an immediate start available.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a range of light to heavy rigid trucks
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Responding to field breakdowns and performing efficient on-site repairs to reduce downtime
- Conducting inspections to identify wear or potential failures before they escalate
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to support smooth scheduling and workflow
- Keeping accurate service records and completing all required documentation
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A relevant Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- A current WA HR (manual) Driver’s Licence – essential
- A valid National Police Clearance
- Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience working on LR–HR trucks in a mining environment
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
