About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Third/Fourth Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Griffith, NSW. As a Third/Fourth Year Apprentice Electrician, you will work closely with our experienced electrician to learn the ins and outs of maintaining and repairing a diverse range of farm equipment. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in real-world scenarios while contributing to our farm’s success.
The ideal candidate will embody a blend of enthusiasm for the mechanical trade, a commitment to learning, and a genuine interest in agricultural machinery. This position offers a platform for you to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills within our dynamic farm environment.
Key operational accountabilities include:
- Assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining farm machinery, including tractors, combines, and other equipment.
- Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks and follow preventative measures to ensure equipment longevity.
- Gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting and addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.
- Working on mechanical electrical installations
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Be enrolled as a Third-or Fourth-Year Apprentice Electrician in a relevant program.
- Strong interest in agricultural machinery and mechanics.
- Conduct tests and fault-finding measures, rectifying as needed
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and adapt to new challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with the team.
- Commitment to safety protocols and a positive attitude.
