Position Title: Full-Time Nanny
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba (Must be currently residing in Winnipeg)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Live-Out
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (flexibility required)
Start Date: As soon as possible
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Must have access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle suitable for transporting children (able to accommodate two car seats)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence (Full or Intermediate) with a clean driving record
- Ability to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract upon request
- Valid Passport or ability to obtain one
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
- Clear Prior Contact Check
(Valid checks within the past 6 months are acceptable)
- Strong swimming ability and demonstrated confidence supervising children in or around water (including pools and natural water environments such as rivers)
(Formal water safety or lifeguard training is considered a strong asset)
ABOUT THE ROLE
A Winnipeg-based family is seeking a reliable, caring, and highly organized Full-Time Nanny to support daily childcare and household routines for three children.
This role is best suited for someone who is nurturing, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable managing both childcare responsibilities and maintaining a structured home environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, calm decision-making, and confidence supervising children in a variety of settings, including around water.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare & Daily Routines
- Provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care for three children
- Support homework, reading, and age-appropriate activities
- Manage evening routines, including meals and bedtime preparation
- Ensure children are organized and prepared for school/daycare
- Supervise outdoor play and recreational activities with a strong focus on safety
- Provide attentive supervision around pool areas and nearby river environments when applicable
Transportation
- School/daycare pick-ups
- Vehicle allowance provided (no company vehicle)
- Car seats will be supplied
Meal Preparation
- Prepare healthy family suppers
- Pack lunches for the following day
Household Support
- Maintain cleanliness in children’s rooms, play areas, and shared spaces
- Perform light housekeeping related to children (laundry, dishes, tidying)
- Assist with maintaining an organized home environment; occasional deeper cleaning tasks may be required
Travel (Occasional)
- Accompany the family on domestic or international travel as required
- Assist with childcare routines during travel
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of childcare experience (nanny, childcare worker, ECE, or similar)
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to manage routines independently
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Experience supervising children in or around water is preferred
- Strong safety awareness, sound judgment, and emergency readiness
- CPR / First Aid Certification preferred
COMPENSATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Monthly vehicle allowance provided
