Job Title: After Hours Staffing Coordinator

Job Summary:
The After-Hours Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely and
efficient staffing of healthcare professionals outside of standard business
hours. This role requires a proactive, organized, and solution-oriented
individual who can manage urgent shift assignments, maintain compliance, and
provide an exceptional candidate and client experience. The coordinator will
serve as a key point of contact for after-hours staffing needs, ensuring
seamless communication, accurate scheduling, and adherence to regulatory
requirements. Success in this role directly contributes to the operational
effectiveness and reputation of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
After-Hours Shift Management: Assign and coordinate shifts for healthcare
professionals based on client needs and staff availability, including
urgent or last-minute coverage. Send confirmations and reminders to
prevent cancellations and ensure complete shift fulfillment.
Candidate Engagement: Respond promptly to candidate inquiries, shift
requests, and concerns. Maintain engagement with inactive candidates to
ensure availability and readiness.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for
after-hours client staffing needs, addressing requests and resolving
scheduling challenges efficiently.
Recruitment & Onboarding Support: Facilitate onboarding for new hires, verify
credentials, certifications, and compliance requirements, and maintain
accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Process Improvement & Reporting: Track staffing fulfillment rates and after-hours
metrics. Identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and support
continuous improvement initiatives.
Ownership & Accountability: Anticipate staffing needs, proactively resolve
issues, and maintain a high standard of accuracy, timeliness, and
professionalism in all communications and processes.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in staffing coordination,
recruitment, scheduling, or HR support.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills,
with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, professional and clear across phone, email, and text.
Proficiency with ATS or scheduling software
preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare staffing regulations,
credentialing, and compliance standards, or willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and make quick,
informed decisions in urgent situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare or high-volume
after-hours staffing.
Understanding of HR compliance and workforce
laws.
Analytical skills to identify trends and suggest
process improvements.
