The Position
The Peer2Peer Outreach Support Worker supports participants in accessing Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) medications and related health services by drawing on lived and living experience with substance use and recovery. The role contributes to participant well-being by assisting with appointments, providing harm reduction information, offering peer advocacy, and collaborating with care teams to reduce barriers and encourage recovery pathways.

Qualifications
- Lived experience with OAT therapies (methadone, suboxone, sublicaid, or similar) is a bona fide requirement.
- Understanding of harm reduction, OAT therapies, and recovery models.
- Experience in relationship-building and overcoming barriers in rural and remote settings.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice, and the toxic drug supply public health emergency (asset).
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance.
- Valid drivers license and working vehicle required.

Working Condition and Physical Requirements

- Occasional pharmaceutical deliveries may be required.
