We are seeking a passionate and skilled Donut Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious, high-quality donuts. This role involves not only baking but also decorating and packaging our signature treats to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position guarantees a minimum of one shift per week. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on availability and business needs.

Compensation – Base Salary: $17.85/hour + tips!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of donuts according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during the preparation and cooking process.
  • Decorate donuts with icing, sprinkles, and other toppings to create visually appealing products.
  • Package finished products for sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and reporting needs to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow during busy periods.
  • Must be able to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or pastry preparation, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking, such as mixers, ovens, and fryers.
  • Experience in cake decorating is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately while also being creative in presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
