Job Description:

A Donut Baker is an integral part of the shop! They are responsible for preparing all donuts, including fillings and icings needed for all shifts. Consistently model all store policies, standards, and practices to ensure efficient processes are maintained and quality product is produced on your shift. They demonstrate excellent knowledge of safety, health rules, and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize donuts for packing based on order sheets to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Review order details to determine quantities, packaging types, and delivery requirements
  • Pack donuts into boxes or bags according to company standards, ensuring presentation and quality
  • Handle products carefully to maintain freshness and avoid damage
  • Apply labels and organize orders for delivery or pickup
  • Assist with adding toppings or finishing touches when required before packing
  • Help decorating donuts
  • Ensure all packed orders are complete and ready within required timelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing and work areas
  • Monitor inventory of packaging materials and notify the team when supplies are low
  • Support the team with general tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a high standard of sanitation

Valued skills and experience:

  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Experience with basic equipment repair and maintenance
  • Minimum 1 year of bakery and decorating experience is an asset
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg
  • Frequent turning and reaching
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, and some forward bending
  • Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
