Carpentry Apprentice

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Carpentry Apprentice to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry trade within the accountancy industry. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, learning essential skills and techniques while contributing to various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance carpentry skills and knowledge.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of carpentry tools and techniques is an asset.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Good physical condition and stamina for manual labour.
• Effective communication skills.
