The Manager, Data Engineering is responsible for the management of Automotive Finance (AF) Data Mart used for manufacturer subvention invoicing, manufacturer reporting, AF management reporting, profit planning and forecasting, and pricing. This includes the development, implementation, and ongoing management of all AF databases and data related processes as well as the ongoing analysis and evaluation of AF data mart to determine opportunities for enhanced operational efficiency, new functionality and improved customer satisfaction for all invoicing, reporting, and planning activities.
Additionally, the manager will ensure data integrity, help respond to data requests and support other team members on management reporting and business analytics.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- 5-10 years of experience in information systems management, data analytics, software development or similar field, preferably in the financial or related industry
- Strong working knowledge of Apache Hive, Cisco Tidal scheduler, SQL, DBeaver, MS Access and Excel is required
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform / Big Query will be a significant asset
- Knowledge of data management, aggregation, and analysis techniques
- Understanding of systems modelling and development methodologies, databases, query structure, data structure and data extraction.
- A deep understanding of Automotive Finance’s structure, information systems and strategies, coupled with strong relationships across the network is essential
- Knowledge of in Power BI will be an asset
- University degree in computer science, engineering, business or similar field is required
