Job Title: Labourer

Location: Niagara-on-the-Lake, York Rd. and Queenston Rd.

Salary: $17.60/hour

Note: This position is classified as agricultural work under Ontario employment standards. As such, standard overtime pay provisions do not apply to this role.

Shift: Days, Monday – Friday (~10-hour shifts), MUST be available Saturdays

Job Type: Temporary to permanent hire

Our client is seeking dependable General Labourers to join their growing team. This operation specializes in the cultivation and harvesting, and packaging of high-quality mushrooms for commercial distribution. This is a long-term opportunity with stable hours and potential for growth within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with fast-paced mushroom harvesting and crop maintenance activities.
• Sort, pack, and label products according to quality and production standards.
• Prepare and organize orders for distribution and shipment.
• Load, unload, and move materials and supplies as required.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, and production spaces.
• Adhere to food safety, quality control, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• General labour tasks as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

• Consistent and reliable attendance with a strong work ethic.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift at a fast pace.
• Able to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Comfortable working in indoor environments with varying temperatures and high humidity levels.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, agriculture, or general labour is considered an asset.
