Western zone, situated on the scenic west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, is seeking the services of a salaried Hospitalist. The Hospitalist position is accountable for the effective and efficient provision of medical care to patients at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. Services provided include in-patient Hospitalist coverage and some out-patient follow-up of orphan patients outside the hospital setting.

Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people.

We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine and we encourage and support academic interests.

Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health’s Discipline of Family Practice.

Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly plus on-call obligation

Remuneration: Remuneration: Fee for Service basis as per the Medical Care Plan (MCP) fee schedule.

An annual Retention bonus is offered in accordance with the current MOA. Additional benefits are available.
