Leadership Expectations

As a Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A Sunridge, you’ll lead a high-performing team in delivering our hospitality and food quality goals each day while setting the example for others to follow. You’ll care for your team and guests through kindness, humility, strong communication, and genuine hospitality; cultivate our people by coaching, developing, and supporting them as we grow together; and celebrate growth, teamwork, and achievements by creating a positive environment where people feel valued. We’re looking for leaders who can make independent decisions, solve problems, stay calm under pressure, and remain humble and open to learning while bringing out the best in others.

Operational Support

• Lead Front of House team members to deliver remarkable guest experiences while caring for our guests and team.

• Execute assigned opening and closing procedures and support smooth shift flow by assigning positions and keeping team members engaged.

• Maintain a strong leadership presence on the floor and cultivate a calm, positive, and efficient work environment.

• Ensure the dining room, restrooms, patio, condiment stations, and drive-thru are clean, safe, and guest-ready.

• Support guest recovery using the Chick-fil-A Recovery Model and respond to guest inquiries with care.

• Ensure accurate cash handling, drawer counts, and security procedures are followed.

• Monitor FOH supplies and communicate inventory needs to leadership.

• Work in the drive-thru year-round and use POS software to take orders.

• Celebrate and recognize team members who demonstrate strong hospitality, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Shift Coordination & Administrative Support

• Manage breaks and support appropriate shift coverage throughout the shift.

• Complete daily checklists and assigned responsibilities.

• Communicate shift updates, operational needs, and guest concerns to leadership.

• Train and coach team members with care, helping them build confidence and develop their skills.

• Cultivate teamwork, accountability, and growth through consistent coaching and support.

• Celebrate team members’ progress, contributions, and successes.

• Attend leadership meetings and participate in ongoing leadership development.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to support business need

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient in computer applications, such as MS Office and POS systems
• Must be eligible to work in the Canada
• Must have a source of reliable transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays
• Able to provide clear, respectful, and constructive instructions and feedback to team members
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges promptly
• Strong inteInterpersonal skills and a passion for building positive relationships with both guests and team members
• Comfortable documenting team performance issues or shift notes in written form when required
• Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently
• Comfortable resolving guest concerns and supporting a welcoming environment under pressure
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in food service or hospitality
• Minimum 1+ years of leadership experience in a quick-service restaurant (preferred)
