Position: Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Canada or USA
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Underground team in Canada or USA and provide high-quality geotechnical engineering services across a diverse range of mining and resources projects.
This role will provide the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation and operational support. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients, providing technical leadership, sound engineering judgement and practical solutions to complex geotechnical challenges.
The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and mentor less experienced engineers.

C$130,000 – $200,000, the salary will be based on your overall experiences and qualifications.

- Provide technical advice across mining and engineering projects.

Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Senior Engineer: typically 5–8+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- Principal Engineer: typically 10+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Significant experience within the mining, resources or engineering consulting sector is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigations, analysis, design and technical reporting.
- Experience with relevant geotechnical modelling and analysis software.
- Experience working across mining projects and/or complex engineering environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership and reviewing geotechnical deliverables.
- Experience managing client relationships and contributing to proposals and business development is desirable for the Principal level.
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional engineering body is desirable.
- A strong commitment to safety, technical excellence and professional development.
