HR Coordinator (Junior HR Consultant)

Working Location: Hybrid in Calgary AB (Remote first with the potential for some in-person meetings or projects)

Employment Status: Part-time and Casual (Flexible hours based on client needs)

Are you an organized and detail orientated HR professional looking to build your experience in a dynamic consulting environment? Our firm is seeking a Junior HR Consultant (HR Coordinator) to provide administrative and coordination support to our HR consulting team across a diverse portfolio of clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to deepen their experience across core HR functions while supporting meaningful client work.

What You’ll Do

As a Junior HR Consultant (HR Coordinator), you will:

  • Support day-to-day HR coordination across multiple client accounts
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, scheduling, prescreens, and candidate communications
  • Prepare offboarding and onboarding documentation, including employment agreements and offer letters
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
  • Assist with HR reporting, dashboards, and client deliverables
  • Support HR audits, including employee file reviews, compensation verification, and vacation/benefits tracking
  • Coordinate project tasks, timelines, and follow-ups using project management tools (e.g. Monday.com)
  • Assist with policy formatting, research, and employee handbook development
  • Support compensation benchmarking and HR data analysis activities
  • Prepare presentations, meeting summaries, and action trackers
  • Provide administrative support to senior consultants and leadership

What You Bring

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of HR administration, coordination, or generalist support experience
  • Experience supporting recruitment and core HR operations

 Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Assets:

  • Diploma or degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in a consulting or multi-client environment
  • Experience with HRIS systems and comfort learning new platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Experience with benefits administration or compensation projects
