Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our health and safety team in Edmonton, Alberta. This contractual, casual role is essential for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to clients, ensuring their communication needs are met effectively. The SLP will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with speech and language disorders, contributing to our mission of promoting health and well-being in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments
  • Develop individualized communication plans
  • Provide direct therapy sessions
  • Train caregivers and staff on communication strategies
  • Document progress and submit reports
  • Participate in care planning meetings

Qualifications:

  • A recognized degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Registration with the appropriate regulatory body in Alberta.
  • Active license in good standing
  • Previous experience in a autism and developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to client care.
  • Proficiency in using assessment tools and therapy techniques.
