This role
The Platform Solutions Consultant is a pivotal, AI-first role focused on supporting sales activities to increase platform adoption. You will enable prospective and existing customers to quickly understand and derive value from the Employment Hero platform by delivering world-class demonstrations, addressing technical queries, and ensuring seamless post-sale transitions – which in turn makes employment easier for everyone.
As a Platform Solutions Consultant, you’ll be responsible for:
Sales Support & Technical Advisory
- Conduct high-impact, tailored product demonstrations that map solutions to customer needs and drive buyer confidence
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert, providing sales teams with fast, accurate product insights and standard configuration guidance
- Perform system reviews and scoping for existing customers seeking enhancements or platform add-ons.
Implementation Collaboration
- Manage a clean handover process by conveying complete customer requirements and configuration context to Implementation teams to reduce onboarding friction
- Maintain deep knowledge of implementation frameworks to set accurate customer expectations from pre-sale through go-live
- Assist the Partnerships team in qualifying partner opportunities for technical compatibility and sales-readiness.
Product knowledge and AI integration
- AI-First Execution: Proactively leverage AI tools to improve personal efficiency and design customer business solutions
- Voice of Customer: Capture and channel recurring customer friction points to Product and Implementation teams to improve future solution fit
- Domain Expert: Stay current on Canadian payroll/HR trends and platform updates, communicating changes simply to both customers and internal teams.
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. What we are looking for in a Platform Solutions Consultant:
- 2–5+ years in SaaS presales or solutions consulting role
- Canadian payroll HR industry expertise – a must have
- Experience working in an AI-first, autonomous environment
- Knowledge: Deep knowledge of all things Canadian employment, including direct exposure to payroll / HR work
- AI First: Proven experience in leveraging AI to design and demonstrate complex business solutions
- Strong product fluency: can explain platform functionality and solutions clearly and accurately, including standard configuration guidance within guardrails
- Ability to run efficient, outcome-focused discovery for customer needs and translate into standard-fit solutions
- Strong demonstration capability
- CRM Systems: An understanding of CRM systems
- Organisation & Efficiency: Highly organised and efficient in working autonomously and managing workload
- Communication & Translation: Strong ability to translate and communicate technical information into simple, actionable advice for diverse audiences
- Problem-Solving Focus: Possesses a solution-oriented mindset to efficiently address customer issues and needs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Highly collaborative with a proven ability to foster effective teamwork across internal groups (Sales, Implementation, Product) and external partners.
- Working knowledge of implementation frameworks and the end-to-end customer journey to support accurate expectation-setting and handovers
- Strong systems discipline across CRM/presales tooling (notes, handover context, follow-ups, pipeline hygiene)
- Ability to communicate product updates simply to both customers and Sales teams
- Highly organised and efficient; thrives in a fast-paced, transactional environment with competing priorities. Loads of initiative and ability to work autonomously.
