C.O.T.U (Centre Of The Universe) is a premier lifestyle and entertainment venue located on the 38th and 39th floors of CapitaGreen. Spanning 18,000 square feet with stunning city skyline views, C.O.T.U features five unique concepts: Dashi Skypool, Enso steakhouse with Japanese flair, The Whisper Room cocktail bar, Little Birdie progressive cocktail bar, and Dashi Go-Go boutique ultra-lounge.
The Role:
Reports to: General Manager / Assistant Manager
To operate a designated section of the restaurant, assisting the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Assistant Manager, always focusing on exceeding the expectations of the guest- providing the best possible experience incorporating CoTU standards at all times whilst financially managing and controlling the business, in the following areas;
Key Responsibilities
Product & Service Quality:
- To ensure the service standards and timings are delivered at all times
- To demonstrate excellent knowledge of food, drink, service and culture
- To assist the management team in opening, operating and closing to required standards
- To work with all Front of House staff to ensure development of guest relationships and creation of loyal regulars
Finance & Administration:
- To be responsible for the correct till procedures and use of till along with the correct reconciliation
- To be responsible for designated shift end of day management and, if required, to secure the close of the business
Business Promotion & Sales:
- To have a pro-active view towards promotions and sales and upselling and to be involved in coaching and training staff in suggestive selling skills
Human Resources, Recruitment, Training & Retention:
- To be responsive to all training provided and to attend all training sessions
- To act as a role model to all new employees, by showing a positive approach to team spirits through excellent team support and positive communication.
- Specifically, to act as a guide and mentor to other members of the Front of House team
- Full commitment to service standards and training plans for new employees
- To attend management and department meetings when required
- To communicate all employee welfare issues to the management team
Technical & General Skills:
- To comply with all licensing legislation
- To adhere to all company rules, regulations and procedures
- To communicate any potential problems to the Assistant Manager / General Manager and take a pro-active approach to their resolution
- To consistently demonstrate attention to detail with regards to standards
- To adhere to all food hygiene and Health & Safety requirements and standards
- To perform any task pertinent to the operation as directed by the General Manager and Assistant Manager
