Health-Driven Design for Cities (HD4) aims to investigate how Singapore’s environment shapes residents’ daily behaviours and long-term health outcomes. It will generate actionable evidence for public agencies and policymakers to improve the health and longevity of all Singaporeans.

In phase 1 of the project, we are testing new ways of measuring the factors that may influence people’s health. We are recruiting a research intern to support the development and implementation of the measures, with a focus on research documentation, study protocols, and participant-facing materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing and maintaining study protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), study materials, and other research documentation.
  • Assist with developing recruitment materials, participant instructions, questionnaires, and other study resources.
  • Support the planning and coordination of research activities, including participant recruitment, data collection, and field-testing.
  • Organise and maintain study records, documentation, and research databases to support accurate and consistent study implementation.
  • Assist with reviewing de-identified study data and identifying missing or inconsistent information where required.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and basic summaries of study progress and findings.
  • Work closely with the research team to ensure study procedures and materials are clear, practical, and aligned with the study protocol and ethics requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant background in health sciences, environmental science, public health, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
  • Interest in clinical and health research involving human participants.
  • Good writing, organisation, and documentation skills.
