Over the longer-term, Transcelestial aims to develop a constellation of small satellites positioned in Low Earth Orbit, allowing their laser network to not only beam across cities but upwards to connect continents across the world too.

Software Engineer
The Software Engineer will develop full-stack product features and fixes for Transcelestial’s CENTAURI product and platform, as well as internal tools for the Solutions and Services team. The Software Engineer will also support CENTAURI links in production and develop features and fixes for problems faced by customers.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop features and fixes for Transcelestial’s CENTAURI product and platform
- Build and support internal tools for the Solutions and Services team
- Support CENTAURI links in production, perform root cause analyses of production incidents, and develop features and fixes for production issues
- Support CENTAURI links in Transcelestial’s testbed
What you will bring:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (required)
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience (full-stack development and/or site reliability engineering)
- Extremely strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially in unfamiliar and time-sensitive situations
- Willing to go above and beyond
- Strong attention to detail, a meticulous and highly-organized character, and no ego
- Strong ability to make engineering trade-offs and assess risks with respect to business objectives
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive working with a team of people from different backgrounds in a highly collaborative, time-sensitive environment
- Working knowledge of Git
- Good knowledge of Linux (Debian)
- Good knowledge of networking concepts
- Proficient in programming in Go
- Comfortable working with the command line
- Experience working with Docker
- Experience working with REST or gRPC APIs
- Experience working with SQL and RDBMSes
- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
- Experience building web UIs (React)
- Experience using AI as a force multiplier
It is a bonus if you have:
- Experience working with electronics and hardware
Our Hiring Process and what to expect:
- 30 min call with our technical recruitment team to get a feel for the role and to make sure your objectives and ours are aligned.
- 30-60 min video/in-person interview with the Hiring Manager of the role, so you can understand the role, the team, your future manager better
