IT Intern

IN-CYPHER, the flagship programme of Imperial’s Singapore research presence, is hiring an IT Intern to support the running of the programme. A key part of the role will be to optimise processes, e.g., by using AI tools to speed up manual efforts; setup, maintain and extend existing infrastructure; and generally, to be the first point of contact for tech-related inquiries.

Requirements:

Education:

Enrolled in a Computer Science/Engineering course or have completed practical IT/System Admin apprenticeship/training.

Background:

• Knowledge of System Administration (Network, Windows, Linux)
• Familiarity with the Office365/sharepoint environment.
• Ability & willingness to pick up tasks quickly & deliver results diligently and without close supervision

Main Duties:

• Develop an internal pre-publication document management mechanism
• Support IGS management by streamlining/automating reporting & progress tracking tasks
• Maintain existing computational infrastructure

Stipend: $1,500 per month.

Duration: 6 months
