Summary:

We are seeking experienced Class 5 Truck & Trailer Drivers to join our dynamic transport team in Christchurch, Canterbury. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of product to civil construction project sites and yards. As a key player in our operations, you will contribute to our commitment to high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 5 trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure timely delivery of civil construction products to construction sites, yards and disposal sites.
• Self-load when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and paperwork.
• Adhere to all transport regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with site-based teams and other team members.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Wheels, Tracks, Rollers Endorsement an advantage.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport laws.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers is an advantage.
