Description

Who we are.

Oyster is a leading New Zealand commercial property and fund manager and is recognised as a market leader in sourcing and structuring property funds and capital raising. We also manage a range of office, industrial, large-format retail, and retail assets throughout New Zealand. At Oyster we are committed to Building a Brighter Future, and it is this vision that sits at the core of everything we do. Our Values are what guide our culture, our day-to-day interactions with our investors, tenants, contractors, each other and how we deliver on our vision – we are One Team, Leaders, Courageous and Ethical.

Job scope.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Oyster as a Marketing Manager in a sole-charge, hands-on role with real breadth.

Working closely with internal teams and trusted external partners, you’ll coordinate and deliver marketing activity across campaigns, capital raises, digital channels, and internal communications. You’ll play a key role in bringing our brand to life across our property portfolio, ensuring everything is delivered on time, on brand, and to a high standard.

This role offers strong exposure to:

  • Campaign delivery across press, digital and radio (including capital raising activity)
  • Brand and collateral development, working with agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Digital marketing, including website management, social media, and marketing automation
  • Data-driven marketing, using Salesforce to support targeting, reporting, and optimisation
  • Internal communications and culture initiatives in partnership with People & Culture

It’s a great step up for someone looking to own outcomes, build capability across the full marketing mix, and make a visible impact in a commercial environment.

Eligibility criteria.

We’re a fast-paced, high-performing team, so mindset and approach matter just as much as technical experience. We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A self-starter who takes ownership and follows through
  • Practical and hands-on, with a strong delivery focus
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A clear communicator who builds strong working relationships
  • Adaptable and willing to pitch in across all areas of marketing—from internal comms to campaign execution

You’ll ideally bring:

  • 3 – 4 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Exposure to campaign delivery or digital marketing (social, email, or website)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with tools such as CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), CMS platforms (e.g. WIX), or marketing tools is beneficial but not essential

At Oyster, we place strong emphasis on our core competencies, which are the foundation of our high-performing environment. These include critical thinking, adaptability, emotional intelligence, effective communication, impactful collaboration, digital proficiency, and strong financial acumen. We actively seek these qualities in our people, as they are essential to driving our success and shaping a high-performing, future-ready team.
