Community and Events Coordinator
About Auxo
For more than 30 years, Auxo has been helping automotive businesses across Australia and New Zealand work smarter, faster, and more efficiently. From leading global brands to small family-owned workshops, our software supports the people who keep the automotive industry moving.
Our product suite spans established platforms like Orion through to our growing cloud-native SaaS platform, Auxo Workshop, a modern workshop management platform built to help workshops save time, boost profits, manage jobs, track margins, and keep customers happy.
About the role
Our customers talk to each other constantly. This role is about turning that into something real: a community worth being part of, events people actually want to come to, and social channels that sound like us rather than a software vendor.
You will sit in the marketing team and report to the GM Marketing, who sets the plan, the event calendar and the content direction. Your job is to make it happen. You will work closely with our Customer Success team on customer contact and attendance, and with the wider business on internal events.
It suits someone organised who likes variety, enjoys being around customers, and gets satisfaction out of an event that runs smoothly because they sorted the details.
What you will be doing
- Delivering our event calendar: logistics, bookings, registrations, materials and running the day itself.
- Coordinating suppliers, venues, catering and travel, and keeping each event inside its budget.
- Helping with internal events and staff engagement activity alongside the wider business.
- Running our social channels day to day: scheduling and publishing to the content calendar, replying to comments and messages, and flagging anything that needs a more considered response.
- Keeping our customer community active by posting, prompting discussion, moderating and answering questions, and passing product or support queries to the right team.
- Creating content for social, community and events, including written posts, short video and photography you capture on the day.
- Using AI tools where they save you time on drafting and admin, then editing the output so everything we publish still sounds like a person wrote it.
- Keeping everything on brand by checking your work against our guidelines before it goes out.
- Looking after event and community data in HubSpot: lists, registrations, workflows, contact records and follow up.
- Pulling together the monthly report on how events, community and social are tracking.
- Spotting customers who would make a good case study, testimonial or speaker, and passing them on.
- Telling the rest of the business what customers are talking about, so we hear it early.
What you will bring
Must have
- Two or more years in marketing, events, communications or community work.
- Hands on event experience, including logistics, suppliers and running the day.
- Experience creating content, including short video and photography captured at live events.
- Confidence writing social copy and talking to an audience in a brand voice.
- Experience with HubSpot, or a similar CRM and marketing platform you can build on quickly.
- Confidence using AI tools in your day-to-day work, along with the judgement to know when something needs a human voice and the discipline to edit before you publish.
- Strong organisation, reliable with deadlines, and happy to be the person chasing the detail.
- Willingness to travel for events and work the occasional evening around them.
Nice to have
- Experience in B2B or SaaS, or with a technical product.
- A background in automotive, trades or a similar industry.
- Experience helping build or grow a customer community or user group.
- Basic design skills in a standard design tool.
Where this role can go
This is a delivery role to start with, working to a plan set by the GM Marketing. As you build a track record, the natural next step is a Community and Events Manager role: owning the event programme rather than delivering it, making the supplier and budget calls, and shaping the brand and community plan instead of applying it. We will set that out with you at your first review.
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a cover letter. Tell us why you think you would be a good fit for the role, and what creative flair you would bring to our events.
