Description

Summary/Objective

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting,

compliance with statutory obligations, and support for internal decision-making processes. This position requires a technically strong accountant with excellent attention to detail, who can manage reporting deadlines and partner effectively with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders, including reporting to the banks
  • Assist with the consolidation and group reporting requirements
  • Maintaining accurate BS reconciliations
  • Preparation of GST reconciliations / submissions
  • Prepare management reports supporting different internal stakeholders and department leads, including analysis of actuals vs budget and operating cost efficiency
  • Manage the Project accounting for high value projects including maintenance of the project cost tracker and assisting in project performance against budget
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls.

Skills and Qualifications

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with Big 4 experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB standards
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial/management accounting, preferably within property, construction, or data centre industries
  • Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting and management reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite is ideal).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
