JOB OVERVIEW
The Talent Solution Consultant – Assessment and Talent Intelligence Pillar supports the setup and growth of the new Assessment and Talent Intelligence business by helping clients understand how workforce assessment, skills intelligence, competency frameworks, succession planning and talent analytics can support better business and people decisions.
This role acts as a consultative bridge between client talent challenges and platform-led solutions such as Epitome, Lexonis, Eightfold and other relevant assessment or talent intelligence platforms. The role requires the ability to understand client issues around workforce capability, learning impact, talent readiness, succession planning, internal mobility and organisational development, then translate these needs into clear solution positioning, demo storylines and business value.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Pillar Lead, Sales, Marketing, Product Partners and Delivery teams to support client discovery, solution design, platform presentations, proposal development and sales enablement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Client Discovery & Talent Needs Analysis
- Support discovery sessions with HR, Talent Management, L&D, OD, Workforce Planning and business stakeholders.
- Identify client challenges related to skills visibility, competency gaps, succession planning, workforce readiness, learning effectiveness, talent mobility and assessment needs.
- Translate client issues into use cases such as skills inventory, leadership readiness, career pathways, assessment-to-learning, internal mobility and workforce planning.
Solution Positioning & Pre-Sales Consultation
- Position Assessment and Talent Intelligence solutions by connecting platform capabilities to client business outcomes.
- Explain how assessment, competency frameworks, talent analytics and skills intelligence support better decision-making in talent management and learning strategy.
- Recommend suitable solution approaches including pilot design, assessment scope, target audience, expected outcomes and implementation considerations.
Platform Demonstration & Presentation
- Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations and walkthroughs for assessment and talent intelligence platforms.
- Customise demo storylines based on client scenarios such as succession planning, workforce capability mapping, skills gap analysis, talent development or hiring assessment.
- Present platform features in business language, focusing on client value rather than system functionality only.
Proposal, Documentation & Sales Enablement
- Support preparation of proposals, solution decks, demo scripts, use case documents, pilot plans and client-facing materials.
- Work with Sales and the Pillar Lead to define solution scope, assumptions, deliverables, timeline and commercial inputs.
- Develop internal sales enablement materials including discovery question banks, objection handling guides, product comparison notes and solution positioning documents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partner Coordination
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Content Development, LMS, Learn-Tech and UpSkillingMinds teams to create integrated client solutions.
- Coordinate with product partners and vendors to understand platform capabilities, demo environments, implementation requirements and technical considerations.
- Support handover from pre-sales to delivery teams to ensure client expectations are clearly documented.
Market Intelligence & Pillar Development
- Research trends in talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, skills intelligence, assessment, HR technology and organisational development.
- Share client insights, competitor positioning and market opportunities with the Pillar Lead and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute ideas for solution bundles that connect assessment platforms with eLearningMinds’ content, LMS, Learn-Tech and UpSkillingMinds training capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business, Organisational Development, Education, Learning & Development, Management, Technology or related discipline.
- 2–6 years of working experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organisational Development, HR consulting, HR technology, assessment solutions, pre-sales, customer success or related fields.
- Exposure to competency frameworks, learning needs analysis, succession planning, leadership development, skills assessment, career pathways, performance development, workforce planning or HR transformation is preferred.
- Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage HR leaders, managers and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable learning and demonstrating software platforms, dashboards and digital solutions.
- Able to understand client requirements and translate them into solution proposals, demo flows and business use cases.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, partner sessions, events and demonstrations as required.
ADDED ADVANTAGE / TOOLS & PLATFORMS
- Experience in Talent Management, L&D, OD, HR consulting, assessment centres or HR technology implementation.
- Familiarity with platforms or solutions related to assessment, talent intelligence, LMS, HRIS, performance management, recruitment, employee development or workforce planning.
- Exposure to Epitome, Lexonis, Eightfold, TalentLMS, eFront, Employment Hero, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, Cornerstone or similar HR / learning platforms.
- Experience with competency framework design, skills taxonomy, job profiling, leadership assessment, 9-box talent review or succession planning processes.
- Experience in client-facing consulting, solution selling, pre-sales, training consultancy or customer success roles.
- Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as ClickUp, Miro Board, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Teams.
