The Head of Technical Engineering leads IX Telecom’s technical design, infrastructure development, and technology evolution initiatives. This role ensures that engineering standards meet international best practices and supports strategic growth in core, edge, and access network domains.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all engineering divisions — IP Core, Transmission (DWDM/GPON), and Infrastructure.
Define technical architecture, design standards, and engineering governance frameworks.
Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale telecom infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with the NOC and Service Delivery teams to ensure seamless integration and reliability.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance performance.
Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgeting for network build and upgrades.
Supervise vendor and partner engineering deliverables and ensure compliance.
Lead capacity planning and ensure network scalability for future business demands.
Conduct risk and technical assessments aligned with ISO, ISMS, and MCMC standards.
Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team with continuous learning culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 10 years in telecom network engineering with proven management experience.
Strong background in IP/MPLS, GPON, SDN, and Cloud Networking.
Familiar with regulatory compliance, network design standards, and safety practices.
Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
