Head of Engineering
As the Head of Engineering, you will assume a pivotal leadership role in shaping the trajectory of our technical endeavors. Your strategic prowess and adept leadership will guide a comprehensive full-stack engineering team, steering the development of features and infrastructure across both web and mobile platforms. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, you will crystallize our vision into a tangible roadmap and ensure the harmonious alignment of technology with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performing full-stack engineering team, fostering their growth and technical excellence while nurturing a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Collaborate synergistically with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate our visionary aspirations into a practical, actionable roadmap.
- Forge close partnerships with product, operations, and organizational leaders, championing the evolution of our technology platform to meet evolving business needs and match the dynamism of technology trends.
- Ensure seamless alignment with key business stakeholders, effectively managing resources and dismantling obstacles to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, orchestrating local and multiple offshore development teams with precision, ensuring the cohesive delivery of software on-time and within budget.
- Sustain a climate of innovation, motivating the entire team to deliver not only within timelines but also with an essence of constant creativity.
Key Requirements
- MS/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience, best to have mobile development and blockchain knowledge. Strong plus if also knows C++ and backend well
- 3+ years of professional engineering management experience
- 1+ years full-time experience in a blockchain-based project
- Programming experience and understanding of modern technology including: (ReactJS/React Native, NodeJS, Kubernetes, GCP, MongoDB, Docker)
- Experience managing cloud operations for reliability, scalability, and security in GCP/AWS
- Experience recruiting, hiring and onboarding engineering talent
- Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion
